The fact that many people are not necessarily aware of the dangers of pollution to our environment is exciting. Watching the films A Civil Action, Tapped and Erin Brockovich draws attention to how our environment is affected in many circumstances, in addition to the fact that companies do not care about the significance of the number when they perceive their income. On EPA.gov, there are numerous issues regarding the plots of each of the three films. Including civil action and dumping hazardous materials into water, Tapped and the impact of bottled water on pollution, and Erin Brockovich, where pollution is making innocent people sick. Another idea to put into perspective is the mark we humans leave behind as we move forward. This can be seen in the film The Human Footprint and on the World Wild Life website. A common theme seen in the films A Civil Action, Tapped, and Erin Brockovich is that the producer is always focused on money and doesn't care about what his company does to innocent people. and our environment. These companies produce plastic bottles which cause considerable pollution. Yes, pollution is caused by the manufacturing of plastic bottles themselves, but the amount of plastic water bottles found in the ocean is staggering. If these companies did not pay full attention to how much revenue they ultimately make, the pollution could be minimal, as could the harm inflicted on innocent people. The plastic featured in Tapped is one of the biggest causes of pollution in our world today, as the materials used to make them and the waste they leave behind infect the environment. The ocean is transforming into a “plastic soup” (Tapped). This also includes the layers of The Human Footprint. Even things like the dumping of hazardous materials into the water in A Civil Action and the pollution case with Erin Brockovich in Erin Brockovich can present serious dangers in many ways. Fortunately for the EPA, the world and the environment can hold out a little longer thanks to regulations..
