What they do in Spain is they organize "Hogueras" (bonfires). This tradition was made before Christmas became a tradition. At Christmas, people invite their families to celebrate a holiday that brings them all together. These are joyful and happy times. In Spain, there are things that some people don't do anywhere else. Some of the things I found interesting were how they spent their Christmas Eve, their Christmas Days and if they had any other traditions in Spain that they cling to. On Christmas Eve they have a midnight mass and their bonfires. First of all, in Spain, the midnight mass is called “La Misa Del Gallo” (The Mass of the Rooster). It is the ringing of bells that brings families together for a candlelight ceremony. They then make their bonfires.
