    The number one way to stay fit and healthy as people age is exercise. Before starting to exercise, people should be sure to consult their doctor to find out if they are in good or bad shape, what they should do, and what medications might possibly help them. To start exercising, it's simple to try to find an activity that they enjoy and that motivates them to continue. It doesn't have to be a strenuous activity; people can do something simple like take a walk or ride a bike. First, they should start slowly, then once they get fitter, they can start speeding up and trying harder workouts. Exercising helps maintain your strength and agility as you age, and also improves mental health. You can join an exercise class to help you improve or maintain your fitness. You can play with your children or grandchildren, make walks part of your daily activity, and even make household chores more active by dancing to music while cleaning (“Staying,” n.d.). Weighing too much or too little at any age can lead to health problems. Make sure you don't stop once you start and make time to fit exercise into your day. Sometimes exercising with a friend will help you get into and maintain a routine. Exercise is very important for a healthy lifestyle. It can help prevent heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, osteoporosis, and mental disorders like depression. So people need to learn to control their weight by exercising and eating healthily (“Getting in Shape,” n.d.). Eat Well The second way to stay fit and healthy as you age is to eat well. People never take the time to prepare a nice, healthy meal at home because it's just faster to order something or go eat at the drive-thru. People need to stand middle of paper......and mentally you need to be positive, eat right, exercise, get proper rest, manage your stress, give and receive love and compassion, you must laugh and be happy, have inner calm, trust yourself and others, and open up ("What", nd). You have a choice to do something with your life. If you don't like the way you look, change that. It all starts and ends with you and how hard you are willing to work for what you want. If you can't do it for yourself, do it for those you love. It's definitely going to be difficult, but if you need help getting to where you want to be, you can ask for help. That’s what personal trainers and family are there for. They are there to help you achieve your goals and make your dreams come true. But it's all up to you. So the question is always how much are you willing to work to have a healthy life.?
