    Today, many adolescents are very sexually active. In fact, according to the Center of Disease Control, 47% of adolescents reported being sexually active (http://www.cdc.gov 2013). These statistics illustrate the vital need to teach sex education in all types of schools and the importance of informing adolescents about the risks of their behaviors, since this is where adolescents spend most of their time . As of January 2014, more than half of states are federally required to teach sex education (http://www.ncsl.org 2014). Unfortunately, in many religious schools, students are not taught about sex education. In fact, they encourage abstinence until marriage. According to “School Health Clinics and Sex Education – A Christian View of Sex Education in Schools,” students attend a “government-funded abstinence-only-until-marriage education program,” and it is said to “contain false and erroneous information.” misleading “medical” claims and teaching our children religious propaganda and theological gender stereotypes. Therefore, the importance of the presence of such a program in religious schools is demonstrated by adolescents' general knowledge about the risk of being sexually active, sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy prevention, and studies on the effectiveness of sex education in schools are often discussed topics.
