    Stress is a part of life, like it or not. This can be due to a variety of factors, including someone driving below the speed limit while you are in a hurry, worrying about paying your bills, and deaths in your family. There is nothing we can do to prevent some of the stressors we face on a daily basis, but there are techniques we can use to lessen the effects of, overcome, and cope with current stressors. As a sophomore in college, I face stressors daily ranging from large to small, but over my years I have established coping strategies to overcome my problems and lift my spirits . Stress is defined as a person's response to threatening or difficult events. . For me, stress is finding time to do everything I want; making time for homework and studying, making time to work out and go to tennis practice, while still having free time to relax and hang out with my friends. Most of my stress comes from personal stressors, major life events that have immediate negative consequences that usually fade over time, and background stressors, daily annoyances that cause irritation minor but can turn into harmful long-term effects if they persist or are combined with others. stressful events. Fortunately, I have never had to deal with a major personal stressor that directly affected me, such as a death or divorce. However, I have to deal with an ongoing stressor in my life that most people never have to deal with, but I have luckily been able to deal with it even though it never goes away.
