These conditions are not the same for each enzyme, for example some enzymes may have a greater heat tolerance and may not be denatured at the temperatures at which tyrosinase has been distorted. Since enzymes can only function properly under certain environmental conditions, it is extremely important that organisms provide these conditions in order to maintain their functions. As a result, organisms are limited to what they can ingest and where they can live. For example, ingesting an extremely basic or acidic solution could stop stomach enzymes from working.
