    Nicomachean Ethics: CourageReading Aristotle's book “Nicomachean Ethics”, I analyzed and understood his thoughts on the ten books. I realized that Aristotle's thoughts throughout the book are difficult to express and understand clearly. But even though it was difficult to break down, I could clearly see that it was written to determine what a human being as a whole is. To begin, Aristotle explains his meaning of virtues and vices. These are not just any habits we experience, but the result of what we experience as pleasure or pain. A virtuous person feels pleasure in the most beautiful action. A person who is not virtuous will feel his pleasure deceptive. The definition of virtue is behavior demonstrating high moral standards or good characteristics. Virtues result from respecting good habits. There are two types of virtues: intellectual and moral. To have virtues, one must have intellectual morality.
