"Moman ke moh upar Nur adkera, jo bich raat uthe kare kamai. Raat ki Bandagi din me dite, ke karanhar ke Moho upper roshnai!! Kalame Mawla, verse: 169 It means "a person shines on the face of one who meditates during the night, and this meditation is seen during the day with a face full of light”!! The above verse from Kalame Mawla is forever imprinted in my mind, referring to the verse when I first uttered Waez. at the age of 12. And meditation became my life force and I always wanted to research the spiritual part of human life and its impact. I come from a very religious family background, where Seeds regularly attend jamatkhana and serve our beloved Imam and jamats were sown by my parents since childhood. Because of the strong religious connection, I have always had a strong desire to get involved in our religion and the community. I started teaching at REC when I was in 6th grade and I am still involved in teaching. till date, I have been looking forward to learning how to read Quran in Arabic since my childhood and I am currently taking Arabic lessons to make my dream come true. I am constantly asked about our tariqah practices by other Muslims, but sometimes it is difficult to explain to them. And it became a subject of my research. I have practiced alternative medicine with herbs, Ayurvedic medicines, acupressure, homeopathy, etc. and my main treatment method was meditation to provide patients with the best possible treatments. Serving humanity has always been my priority in life. However, around 2005 I felt the need to change careers as I was feeling depressed from dealing with so many sufferers on a regular basis. I was in the United States during the September 11 incidents. Muslims were looked down upon and many M...... middle of paper ...... for spiritual seeking, questions cross-referenced by other Muslims, interpretations of the Quran all led me on a journey to GPISH. And so to accomplish my goal GPISH at IIS is the best option as I can study Islam and Ismailism in depth through research, seminars and lectures. I would love to grow with my classmates through education from orientation to academic excursion to Cairo and Spain. If I had the chance to study at IIS, I would consider it an honor because of the caliber of the faculty, its reputation as an institution, and my fellow students. After graduation, I would study Islamic studies at Masters level and look forward to becoming a professor of Islamic studies at IIS. I wish to transmit knowledge about Islam in the context of Ismailism and bring out the beautiful face of Islam, a religion of peace, prosperity, fraternity, architecture and poetry..
