  • Essay / Causal Analysis: A Good Man is Hard to Find - 908

In Flannery O'Connor's story "A Good Man is Hard to Find", the author introduces us to the characteristics of the grandmother at the beginning . The grandmother thinks she is superior to everyone because she is a “lady”. She judges others and criticizes Bailey's wife because she believes the mother is not taking the children somewhere overseas. She is dishonest, secretive and selfish. at the end of the story he shows that he doesn't care about anything and doesn't believe in Christ or religious matters. The grandmother tries to influence him by showing him that he can be a good person. the grandmother believed he could be a good man. in the end, his life was spared? Two characters collide, which makes things real for them and leads to the grandmother's death. The grandmother took the family somewhere which caused their disappearance. The grandmother is a sneaky person because she took the cat with her when she. my son told him no too. It was her fault for leading the children to believe that there was treasure in the house that she wanted to visit. She knew her son Baily would take her wherever she wanted if she influenced the children first. Her cat jumps from the backseat onto Baily's lap, causing the car to break down. When the grandmother realizes that the house she was thinking of was not in Florida but in Tennessee. She does not comment on this error. After seeing a car coming, she asks them for help. She also notes that the man looks familiar, then yells at Baily that he's... middle of paper... he steps back and starts shooting him repeatedly. She tried to comfort him, but he knew he wasn't going to sink to her level by becoming a good man. He doesn't think he's a bad person or a good person. The deadly thing about this story is that two characters can come together to make one realize something that the other makes them see who they are. Works CitedBandy, Stephen C.
