  • Essay / Anders Behring Breivik: The Noways massacre in July 2011

Anders Behring Breivik learned shooting thanks to Call of Duty. He was the one who committed the July 2011 massacre in Norway. Many people think they should ban all violent video games. People who played these kinds of games started playing them from a very young age. After seeing children playing violent games, someone will want to fully support preventing these kinds of games from falling into the hands of children. Violent video games can be pretty good, and the video game industry is generating strong economic growth in different parts of the world. Regardless of this economic growth, children face educational challenges due to gaming. Time and attention are two keys to student success. Playing violent video games inhibits a student's ability to learn. Usually, children are not satisfied with anything they own. Increasing the number of hours of play means that children can't stop playing after just one hour. Research into this major problem provides figures that should be used to prevent this problem from recurring in the future. According to Douglas A. Gentile, Ph.D, associate professor of psychology, said that in the mid-1980s, the average time spent playing video games was quite low, averaging about two hours per week during girls and boys spent an average of four hours playing video games. On the other hand, in 2012, he finished with an average playing time for girls of around 5.5 hours per week and for boys of around 13 hours per week. As children grow, their desire to play increases. Once children get used to playing at a limit they consider normal, it can prevent them from learning about life. Not only are video games time-consuming, but they can also attract attention... middle of paper..... .ar-sighted and exophthalmia. Finally, video gamers lack the ability to control their anger. Grant James, in his book Australian Psychologist, takes an angrily stance by mentioning how people change their performance after playing violent video games for 20 minutes. Changing in-game scores for players increased anger after playing a short game. As a player deeply focused on his game, the intensity increased. Learning and academic performance require careful attention to their requirements. Because there are huge competitions about achievements in our new life, there should be a certain feeling about children and their school. The prevention of violent video games in the hands of children must be taken very seriously. It is manipulated from childhood and can perish in future generations. If the problem is not resolved now, it will become more complicated in the future.
