    What prompted me to write about this issue was because I was really surprised by their hospitality when we first arrived in the Philippines . Throughout the trip, they always put us first before themselves. It was then that I realized that this was part of their culture and customs. Now, I started looking into Filipino hospitality and spirit to learn more. The Filipino spirit is all about being resilient, which is defined as “having a tendency to recover or adapt easily to misfortune or change.” (Merriam Webster, nd) Before continuing with the spirit of the Philippines, just to share some general information about the Philippines.
