  • Essay / History of Spray Painting - 998

Despite advances in robotics and its large-scale applications, interior wall painting has received little attention in research activities. Paint chemicals can pose hazards to human painters, such as eye and respiratory problems. Moreover, the nature of painting procedure which requires repeated work and lifting of hands makes it boring, time consuming and effort consuming. It would offer the possibility of reducing or eliminating human exposure to harsh and dangerous environments, which would solve most of the problems related to safety when many activities take place at the same time. These factors motivate the development of an automated robotic painting system. Automation of the construction process is the right way to improve the average productivity of the construction sector, especially in case of a large and very complex project. Additionally, the production of a uniform, high-quality product can be continued. An accurate and efficient automated methodology for reproducing color drawings from their digital graphic format to their final application on building walls is presented.31.4 COMPONENTS1.4.1 PNEUMATIC
