  • Essay / Graffiti Graffiti And Vandalism - 1014

It is true that graffiti is drawn without any authorization, which is considered an illegal act, in particular because the artists draw their paintings on public works. So there might be some similarities between graffiti and vandalism. However, in concrete terms, they are different. The goal of graffiti artists is to bring their imagination and creativity to the community through meaningful demonstrations, which is also the role of art in life (David, 2005). Graffiti is therefore a form of art. It has deep rather than superficial meaning; it has the enthusiasm of artists, who have the desire to illustrate their talent, ingenuity and perspectives to the community while vandalism is the unconscious act of thought, which involves intending to have harmful and aggressive behavior towards the public.
