Rather than abolish the word, Americans changed the meaning to conceal the actual meaning of the word nigga. The new spelling and usage of the word is considered slang. The slang is used throughout America. Nigga uses some of the most popular music genres in the world. The audience unknowingly sings along with the “uplifting music”. The most common users in the music industry are rappers. Hip-hop artists use the phrase "fucking niggas." According to Webster's Dictionary, the phrase actually means to express anger toward black people or people of color. Nigga is adopted into people's conversation because the word nigga is constantly used. The constant use of if nigger/nigga shows my personal definition of the word. The original definition is for people of color, but my definitions explain people who use negro. My personal definition of a nigger is an ignorant person. The user of the word is ignorant because he does not realize the origin of the word. The word was once used as a means of discrimination. Current ignorance began in the 1800s. Ignorance began from the creators of the word nigger, and the ignorance has been passed down and adopted by people today.
