My Student-Centered Teaching Philosophy What makes a good teacher? Many factors determined the answers to this question. The most dominant factor is educational philosophy. It plays an important role in the teaching career because it determines what the teacher will teach and how he will teach. Personally, my teaching philosophy will be student-centered with the combination of three related theories, a focus on the individual needs of each student, and the teaching of multiculturalism and diversity. Teaching must be student-centered. The purpose of education is to pass on knowledge to the next generation. Thus, everything we teach must be closely related to the concerns of the student. The study shows that students learn and acquire more knowledge when they have the desire and interest to learn and are highly motivated. My personal experiences in education are the most influential factor, making my teaching philosophy student-centered. I did my primary and secondary education in China. In China, it was a completely teacher-centered education. The rules are very strict in the education system. Until university, everyone took the same courses, regardless of their level. The teachers fully fed the students. It turns out that students have neither desire nor ability to create. In school, everything has a format to follow. If the student does not follow the rule correctly, he or she will get in trouble. Everyone is the same and the academic result will be the only determination regarding the students. Under this type of education, I felt that I had no desire to learn and that I had not acquired much of the knowledge that I thought I would acquire, except in the middle of a paper...a room class is necessary. Teaching should also emphasize multiculturalism and diversity. Today's world is getting smaller and smaller. Therefore, to succeed in the future, it is essential to understand other cultures and tolerate differences. Students should be exposed to these areas as early as possible. Thus, bilingual and even trilingual teaching is very important to have at school. Additionally, students should be encouraged to learn and experience other cultures from a young age. Students are expected to become men of the world. These are my thoughts on education. It's very liberal and student-centered. As an additional teacher, I would like to follow these teaching ideas and have my own school with these philosophies. Teaching is a noble profession and I want to make the most of it.
