My learning challenges continued at work. My first job was as a lifeguard for the City of Aurora at the Paul Beck Recreation Center. Then I got a job as a material handler for the FedEx ramp at Denver International Airport. I earned enough for my expenses, but not for a car or education. At school, I was an auditory learner. But when I started working, I became a visual learner. Many people learn differently from others. Unfortunately, I'm learning at a slower pace.
