I had many reactions throughout the Look Magazine article. I was really surprised that Carolyn Holloway Bryant and Juanita Milam did not tell Carolyn's husband, Roy Bryant, what happened that day in the store, but that a person of color told Roy Bryant what had happened. I'm also very surprised because the colored kids told Emmett Till to go with the white girl in the store and if the kids hadn't told Emmett Till to go talk to her then he wouldn't have died . What Roy Bryant and JW Milam did to Emmett Till marked him as a coward and unjustifiable because that's how I looked at him when I read the magazine. How can two grown men come and kill a 14 year old child. JW Milam was 36 years old and weighed 235 pounds and he was hitting Emmett. I was also very surprised because it wasn't that long ago and some of my uncles were already alive. I was truly amazed that if someone had done something different throughout this tragedy, then Emmett wouldn't have died.
