    Raising a disabled childA disabled child is having someone who was diagnosed at birth, following an illness or accident that can leave a person disabled. Sometimes a person is not diagnosed until years later. This disability will not allow a person to function regularly on a daily basis. Therefore, someone must take on this responsibility and help this child to ensure that he is taken care of. A child can be born with multiple disabilities, to name a few: Down syndrome, autism, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), mental retardation. Each disability can be different. Some may be more serious than others. they may come from different cultures and financial situations. Even as a person grows, disability can occur. Raising a child with a disability may present some difficulties and challenges, but it will bring many rewards; just like having a normal child. A parent wants their child to live a normal, fulfilling life like any other normal child. This lifestyle will require more patience, time, suitable equipment and a special person to do it. When you accept that your child has a disability, it is a good idea to consult all the literature on this type of disability. This will help you understand your child's disability. Parental involvement is necessary in finding support groups, so they can gain insight into things that someone in the support group has done to accomplish certain things. Children with disabilities are more in the public eye than they were years ago, although they are still treated differently. .
