  • Essay / Birth of Venus by Boticelli - 670

In this article we will discuss the “Birth of Venus”, a well-known painting by the artist Alessandro di Filipepi Botticelli; completed in 1857. The reason I chose this painting is because I wanted to give you some information about this painting. Some of the examples I chose are: where did it come from, who originally wanted the painting, and why was it created? I chose these examples because I've always wondered about these things myself and I hope I can answer them for you too. However, now you might be wondering why I am talking about this article or what is my intention behind this article, you should not. The reason I write is because I have always been fascinated by this room and the calming effect it has on me. I remember that every time I saw it for the first time, I thought of Pomona's figure as a mother figure and wanted to be beautiful like Venus, but that wasn't possible. Instead, I started doing research, because I wanted to learn a little more about the piece myself. My main goal here is to try to make you understand some of the things I have already learned about the play. So let's get started and I'll give you some examples of things that I learned from studying this piece. Firstly, the piece was not initially released to the public, secondly, it is not the most original piece on the market, and thirdly, the piece was originally a commissioned work. Now you may be wondering who commissioned this work, the answer to that question is that the painting was commissioned by Lorenzo di Pier Frencesco Di Medici. He commissioned the painting because he wanted it for private use in his villa and not for the public domain. The second thing you might wonder now is why the piece wasn't original; the reason...... middle of paper ......re that if you just type in Birth of Venus you will find some images that mock or re-use the image; but all imitations always keep the same theme, so I would prefer not to discuss it anymore.¬In writing this article, I enjoyed telling you a little about the things I learned about this piece and I hope you have them also appreciated. . I think you should feel a little better knowing that the room is safe today and will continue to be safe, while also knowing a few more things about this room.
