    In the case of Cass v. Marner, regarding the custody of the minor child, Hepzibah; the court awarded full custody to the biological father, Godfrey Cass. Godfrey Cass was a constant figure in the child Hepzibah's life despite his mistakes and proved himself to be worth it. When, with time, water is thicker than blood; God has not given any man the right to deprive a loving father of his own child. The jury decided that it is in the child's best interest to live with his biological father despite the child's deep emotional ties to the only father he has ever known, Silas Marner. Silas Marner moved to Raveloe, fifteen years previously, was a lonely miser known for his mysterious ways; dealing with epilepsy at the time and witchcraft. It is well known throughout the town of Raveloe that Master Marner is known for his "fits", believed to be an interval of the soul leaving the owner's body to communicate with Satan himself. In addition to Marner's questionable outbursts, he revealed himself to be not only a Satanist but also a practitioner of witchcraft....
