The previous year, they were ranked 95th, indicating steady progression in the rankings. The company originally specialized in the manufacture of quality chocolate products; they gradually evolved into a few different specific avenues. They currently produce 7 of the top twenty chocolate snacks, their products are sold in more than 180 countries around the world and have an annual global turnover of $80 billion. However, as the company grew, it expanded its operations to begin manufacturing pet care products, chewing gum products, confectionery, and food and beverage products. The company claims to complete 200 million consumer transactions per day, despite its extreme reach across the globe. It is also one of the largest companies in the world. The owners are three multi-billionaires who would all be among the top 20 richest Americans. Mars is one of the most desirable companies to work for due to a number of factors. The treatment of their employees is well known to be one of the most effective on the planet.
