CHANGES IN TECHNOLOGYIntroductionThe way business is done today is completely different from the way it was done decades ago. This is due to the incredible changes that have occurred in communication and information technologies. The world has transformed into a global village. The movement of information from one place to another is becoming faster and faster every day. With each passing decade, our society has been significantly changed by technology. Each new technology improves the way we process transactions and makes communication faster and cheaper. A huge amount of information can be accessed and moved very easily. Nowadays, paper technology is rapidly being replaced with most transactions being carried out via machines in order to save time and money, while still providing exceptional services. In business, Internet transactions have given rise to “e-commerce.” It is a very effective means of communication. E-commerce has attracted the attention of everyone, including governments and individuals. The Internet was born when governments came together to enable rapid communications for researchers undertaking various national security projects around the world. Until now, the volume of Internet servers is constantly increasing every six months. Research has shown that 1 in 11 people are active online. The internet is perhaps one of the places where an individual can get almost all types of information as well as a great tool to use quickly to communicate. It is clear that the future of communications technology and commerce lies in the Internet. Another name for the Internet is Word Wide Web (WWW). However, "The W...... middle of paper ...... helps suppliers and also helps them acquire new ones." Information from the Internet can be useful to learn about modern production technologies, and also about export markets.ReferencesBonfante, L. (2011).
