Professional or business networking service is a way to explore opportunities for those seeking employment and for those seeking career advancement. LinkedIn, which is a company established in 2002, is a pioneer in the field of professional networking and has taken the business to another level. LinkedIn is the world's largest BPN with revenue of $522.2 million in 2011 and over 150 million members in 200 countries and is available in over 20 languages. LinkedIn's main competitors are the French company Vaiedo and the German company XING. One of the most important things LinkedIn has done is allow individuals to manage their professional identification, search for professional contacts, join industry groups, search companies, and identify career opportunities.
