Between September 2010 and December 2011, 49 percent of men admitted that they used their phone while doing business in their car, compared to 45 percent of women. Social media tends to deceive others by faking their lives. They only upload a perfect photo, just to gain many likes, since the number of likes equals self-esteem. A key part of social media use is the “selfie,” which is a “self-portrait photograph.” of oneself' taken with a phone aimed at the face, or towards a mirror. Receiving positive feedback on social media indicates that it can help boost an individual's self-esteem, while negative feedback can lower an individual's confidence level. It is best to use social media to create a face-to-face activity, which develops human connection. A better place holding hands instead of “click” kissing. Thanks to social networks we can communicate with people who are far from us, get or buy anything we want without going out. And now, in our current situation, we are able to keep up to date with all the events happening around the world. However, as Alison Graham said: “I think we would all live better if we had hands to hold rather than keys to click.” I think we need to take this break in our lives to make mud pies, build a fort, take time to watch the clouds for the rhinos and unicorns, without a screen.” We need to take a break from scrolling, clicking and tapping our phone.
