    Robinson Crusoe is a story written by Daniel Defoe in 1719. Although this novel is not very well known, many know the story from the modern film "The Castaway". The film Castaway was created in 2000 and made film critics rave. However, not all talk about this modern film was positive. Many viewers really enjoyed this adventure film about a man stranded on an island, but others were disappointed by the changes made to the film from the original Robinson Crusoe story. Robinson Crusoe is the story of a young man who decided to disobey his father's wishes. to be a lawyer and to go to sea at just nineteen years old. After a long, eventful journey, the ship he is on is shipwrecked in a violent storm. Although this happens, he still desires to be at sea so much that he decides to go back to sea. Once again, his expedition ends in disaster when the ship he is on is overtaken by pirates and Crusoe becomes slave. After two years of slavery, Crusoe and another slave named Xury manage to escape on a ship bound for Brazil. After settling down and becoming successful on a tobacco plantation, he decides to seek out slaves from Africa to help him. But once again he is caught in a storm and shipwrecked on an island that would later be known as the Island of Despair. Crusoe had managed to be the only survivor of this shipwreck and must fight alone. Crusoe decides to return to the wreck of the ship and gather useful supplies. He finds tools, food, ammunition and other supplies. He finds an empty cave on the island which he uses as a home. Later, he made a calendar by taking wood, making a cross, and marking a notch in it for each day he was stuck. Using the supplies he collected from middle of paper......turning to Kelly, they confess their love for each other but realize that a future together would be unmanageable due to his promise to his new family. Chuck and Kelly break up and Kelly gives Chuck the keys to the car they once shared. Chuck buys a new volleyball and goes to the country to return the unopened FedEx package to its sender. The house he arrives at is empty, so Chuck places the package on the porch by the door with a note that the package helped save his life. Chuck then leaves and, as he is stopped at a fork in the road, a passing woman in a truck stops to tell Chuck where each road leads. As she drives away, Chuck notices that the photo on the back of his truck is exactly the same as the one on the package. Chuck finds himself scanning all the roads, then towards the woman who leaves in the truck..
