  • Essay / The Orlando Magic - 1709

One of the websites I visit more than anything else is OrlandoMagic.com. I enjoy visiting this website because of its analytical and speculative nature on current and future Orlando Magic basketball team news. Viewing the website as a fan of the team is very different than as an analyst. Not only is this my first stop for team news, but also to get other people's views on the team by visiting the discussion forums. The message board section of the website provides the team with an additional venue to generate interest in the team by allowing fans to promote the team among themselves. Personally, I can attest to this because I got "sucked in" by the hype and am now basically addicted to the website. Viewing the Orlando Magic website from an analytical perspective provides a lot of insight into what goes into audience satisfaction. Casual and die-hard Magic fan. Visiting the website, the first thing I notice is the Orlando Magic logo and the text "Be Magic" in all caps, bold, sans serif, and in royal blue and black: the colors of Orlando Magic. When you take a look at the homepage, the most prominent element is the scrolling “title feed” down the middle of the page. In bold white sans serif letters, there are 4 different scrolling titles with descriptions, in front of a fairly large image that can be associated with this article. At first glance, the amount of text is impressive. However, considering the layout of the web page, it is easy to find exactly what you are looking for. Besides the main headline feed, on the right side is an area with links to other headlines, with a tab for blogs from people associated with the team. Below there are links to photos, to the left of these "Magic TV" videos, and below that,...... middle of paper...... best end of trade, the Magic received a flashy and quick-witted playmaker in Hardaway. In 26 minutes per game, Penny averaged 18 points, 4 rebounds and 13 assists while shooting 59 percent. Hardaway is still considered one of the best point guards to ever play the game. In addition to their on-field contributions, O'Neal and Hardaway were revered in the Orlando community for their efforts. Both received the NBA Community Assist Award for helping clean up Orlando's Parramore neighborhood by using their own funds to help build gyms, parks and playgrounds where underprivileged children can play and learn safely . Additionally, Shaquille O'Neal established the Shaq Fund for Disadvantaged Youth, distributing money to charities that help underprivileged children get the help they need to be useful citizens in their respected communities..
