I don't consider myself a strong leader. However, I know I have leadership skills. It will be important for me to continue to think about how I can continue to develop my technical, people and conceptual skills, so that I can be the best leader I can be. However, Northouse (2015) went on to explain some other skills that are important for leaders to possess. Some of these skills are motivation, social judgment, and problem-solving skills. These are also important skills for a leader to demonstrate. I need to work on all of these skills to become a better leader and I will work to remember all the different types of leadership skills, so that I can continue to improve as a leader. 4. What skills, if any, do I need to learn to become a better leader? Overall, after reading about leadership skills, I think I have a lot to work on. I already demonstrate some leadership skills (such as people and problem-solving skills). However, I know I could be a better motivator and improve my conceptual skills. Additionally, I think all my leadership skills can be improved. The best way for me to grow as a leader is to continually educate myself, practice using different leadership skills, and learn from all the leadership experiences I have had.
