I have compelling reasons to believe that I would be successful as a graduate student in the field of industrial engineering. When my dad brought home our first scooter, I was just a kid then. As a curious child, I wanted to know what it was. “It’s a machine that’s going to take us and go vrooom,” my father said. Surprisingly enough, for me, I didn't want to go "vrooom", but rather wanted to understand what it took to build a machine like this. “Engineering skills” my father used to say and little did I know that my journey to becoming an engineer had already begun. From that point on, I created a fondness for engineering and this undying desire, coupled with consistent scores above 90% in my high school exams, helped me secure a place at PSG College of Technology, one of the top 5 private engineering colleges in India. I completed my Bachelor of Engineering from the Department of Production Engineering (Sandwich) at PSG College of Technology. The course was unique not only because of the duration of the course but also the methodology designed with the aim of imparting practical knowledge and industrial skills to help students in their professional career and business. This further allowed me to gain an incredible hands-on experience of 2,500 hours of training at PSG Industrial Institute and Foundry, a leading industrial goods manufacturing company in India.
