    Since starting high school, I have placed 2nd at Regionals and States in Public Speaking 1 for America's Future Business Leaders (FBLA). I even qualified to advance to the FBLA Nationals last year. My advancement to the Nationals last year gave me the opportunity to speak to the BCPS School Board at the May 2013 School Board meeting. Additionally, I placed 2nd at the Regionals for Business Presentation and will be moving on to states in April 2014. I have also maintained a 3.88 GPA over the past year. Finally, to raise my GPA to a 3.9, I need to continue doing my schoolwork and try to get straight A's for the rest of my high school education. The location of the colleges I'm looking at is not in the state of Maryland, but preferably within 4-6 hours of my home. From a visual standpoint, I plan to be in college somewhere in the northeast or southeast. During the summer of junior and senior years, I will contact other colleges like Yale, Virginia Tech, and Brown University to schedule college visits. I plan to volunteer at the fashion show, some Key-Club based projects, and a project I'm currently doing for my guidance counselor.
