    People today have made a lot of technological and scientific progress in the world. As they advance in these advancements, they tend to believe that nature and humans are separate from each other. People forget how they are connected. They spend most of their time with their artificial technologies rather than nature, but nature is an integral part of human life. And as EF Schumacher states in his book “Small is Beautiful,” humans intend to think that they are separate from nature, but they are not. In this critical essay, I will favor his thinking. I will distinguish between humans and nature. Through this observation, I will demonstrate that humans are part of nature and need it for reasons such as their health, development and well-being. Human beings need nature for their health. Frances Kuo is a professor of natural resources, environmental science and psychology at Illinois. Scientist Kuo and her colleagues state that "humans living in arid landscapes experience a variety of negative social effects such as decreased civility, less supervision of children outside, more illegal activities, more assaults, more property crimes, more loitering, more graffiti and more. detritus” (“Nature essential to health” 2009). Man living in a natural environment is healthier than living in arid lands. Man enjoys the fresh air of nature and people feel calmer in the natural environment. People become less aggressive, less criminal and civilized. With the help of nature alone, he can achieve peace and good health. So, every human being should try to understand nature.
