    CybercrimeThe article “What Makes Cybercrime Laws So Difficult to Enforce” discusses the various difficulties faced by authorities trying to track down criminals who use the Internet to carry out actions immoral. Shinder (2011) highlights the naivety of legislators and their failure to foresee what the increased availability of Internet access would mean for police departments. Unknown and therefore unopposed forms of crime developed much more quickly than could be anticipated and combated. The need for an effective system to combat cybercrime quickly became evident. Unfortunately, as Shinder (2011) points out, identifying the need for an effective form of cyber policing is only one small step in a series of significant advances needed to effectively implement a such system. Jurisdictional issues as well as the problem of accurately identifying the name and location of offenders can hinder such a system (Shinder, 2011). Even as police forces overcome these obstacles, controversies remain due to the unique quality of digital evidence (Shinder, 2011). the relative anonymity that the Internet offers. It is common knowledge that misconduct and anonymity go hand in hand; a bank robber can allay his fear of being recognized by a witness by wearing a ski mask while carrying out a robbery.
