When I stopped, my eyes fell on a book "The Executioner". “A bit of a strange name for a book in this section sounds interesting.” Next to the young adults section was a quaint little cafe. The lawyer had just finished handing out samples, his eyes fell on the book I was holding, "Oh, I love Darren Shan's writing, but I suggest we start with a different book," he said. -she declared. "I would try the series 'Le Cirque Du Freak', it was and is one of my favorites." » she replied. “Thanks, these look interesting,” I said, scanning the first book in the 12-book series. The lawyer went back behind the counter and little did I know it would be one of the best and worst decisions I have ever made. The Cirque Du Freak series is a series of 12 books written by Darren Shan, who is now one of my favorite authors. Personally, I place this book in the fantasy genre even though it is generally classified as horror. (3) Now, most of the time I have difficulty explaining this book and giving a quick summary to other people because of one of the main plot aspects, the vampires. This book series came out before vampires were considered love interests and were still placed within the horror genre. This series is long and complicated. Another thing I love about this wonderful series is that it is not a romance but is written for teenagers and for both male and female audiences. There are three main female characters who all fight and never give up. Arra Sails is one of the few female vampires and the only one mentioned in the book.
