    Randy Pausch once said, "We can't change the cards we are dealt, only the way we play the hand." ยป The last lecture is a speech written by the professor. This is the last sermon they would say if it was the last sermon they would ever give. In The Last Lecture, Pausch explains his childhood dreams and all he did to make them possible, and how to help others realize their dreams. Pausch is an inspiring fighter; he is considered a fighter because ever since he discovered he had ten tumors in his liver, he still lives life to the fullest. Pausch has an undergraduate degree in computer science from Brown in 1982; he received his doctorate in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University in 1988 and joined the Carnegie Mellon staff in 1997.
