    Having a regular study plan could prevent the student from absenteeism, feeling anxious and understanding what is happening during class (Pham , 1999). This may be related to Horwitz's (1986) theory of anxiety and how it prevents some people from succeeding in the classroom. This theory explains a similar situation that the participant had faced. The participant felt she lacked social skills, which prevented her from seeking help within the time frame allowed to begin assessments. The participant found it difficult to participate in class activities as well as communicate with other students. If the student was able to feel confident interacting and associating with other students, they would feel more comfortable attending
