An Analysis of “Politics and the English Language” by George Orwell (1946). Orwell's article on the English language is relevant because it defines how people have become lazy in the way they communicate. This type of "negligence" is part of the problem that explains why the English language is often misused by the speaker: "The neglect of our language makes it easier for us to think stupid thoughts" (Orwell para.2). Due to the laziness of the speaker, the language becomes confused and the person begins to have "stupid thoughts" that do not have very good accuracy.
