    Sirmilk National Park is located in the northwest part of Baffin Island and runs along the northeastern boundary of Labrador and Nunavut. Sirmilk National Park is located in the Arctic Landform and Hudson Bay Lowlands region. Most of the national park is covered with high mountain peaks and glaciers; however, there are also long, flat tundra plains within the park. The park consists of three different areas of land; Bylot Island is made up of glaciers, ice fields and coastal lowlands; Oliver Sound Island consists of numerous alpine glaciers in this region; and the Borden Peninsula consists of flat-topped hills, has the Hartz Mountains and extensive river valleys. Alpine, cirque and continental ice have shaped the shape of the park. Moraines, icebergs, sand deposits and cirques are visible in the park. Sirmilik National Park is in the Arctic climate region, which means it will experience long, cold winters and short, cool summers.
