    With the passage of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, the idea of ​​single-sex classrooms gained momentum. No Child Left Behind also included an amendment directing the U.S. Department of Education to establish standards for experimenting with single-sex classrooms and schools. Since this measure came into effect, many states have launched such experiments with single-sex classes, which got me thinking. Would single-sex classes improve the quality of education in American public schools? While researching, I discovered that the word "classrooms" is broad enough to include single-sex schools as well as co-ed schools where only certain classes are taught separately so further research can be evaluated. I have found that single-sex classes benefit students both academically and later in life, helping them develop positive attitudes about education and themselves , and that they are very desirable for students, parents and teachers. Through my research, I have discovered that single-sex classes benefit students academically, which translates to success in life, marriage, and professional careers. Huffman said the Riordan study, done by Cornelius Riordan, used 58,270 randomly selected students to analyze the differences between co-ed and single-sex schools.
