IntroductionThe purpose of this essay is to describe how to be an effective leader and how to lead a group to become a team. Four principles of effective leadership will be outlined in the essay. The first principle is that to be an effective leader, a leader must have an extroverted personality. The second principle is that to be an effective leader, a leader must be able to delegate authority. The third principle is that to be an effective leader, the leader must be able to maximize the potential abilities of his followers. The final principle is that to be an effective leader, the leader must be able to make decisions and take responsibility for their consequences. The different critical incidents will also be written in the essay to explain each of the principles and include theories such as Tuckman's model, situational theory, behavioral theory and transformational leadership. At the end of this essay, a summary will be provided based on what I learned throughout the semester in my PLG and LLG.
