    Christmas Eve celebrations are different for everyone. For example, the Mexican family "ate tamales, enchiladas, sopapillas and pozole" (McKay 1), Mary Devitt's family "the turkey dressing was the same every year" (Tapper 1), or before Christmas by Jere Armen is “celebration with food and gifts” (1). The Vietnamese Catholics in my family celebrate Christmas with many activities. In order to increase the Christmas atmosphere, my father and I decorate the Christmas tree together and put it in the living room. The tree looks brighter when my dad hangs colorful LED lights on it. After hanging the garlands and Christmas decorations, the process of decorating the Christmas tree is complete. My mother and sister are the best chefs in the world, so they will cook and prepare dinner with turkey, hot soup and red wine. On Christmas Eve, my family goes to church in the evening. I like going to church on this day because I go with my family instead of just me like I would most of the time. After that we come home and enjoy the dinner prepared earlier by my mother and sister.
