Duhigg states that “if you use the same cue and provide the same reward you can change the routine and change the habit, almost any behavior can be transformed…”. (67). For example, Tony Dungy, coach of the Buccaneers, wanted his players to change their habits. He wanted them to react with automatic, habitual instinct. Here again, he allowed his team to win the championship. The way I'm going to change my habit according to this rule is to change the routine itself by placing my phone in a place where I can't get it in my hand when I'm with my friends or family and maybe by setting a time limit to have it on me.
