    Many people are more active today than they were many years ago. Injury prevention and diagnosis play an important role in today's society. Preventing injury is important for many athletes around the world and physically active people. Injury prevention can benefit an athlete in the long term. Athletic trainers help athletes and physically active people stay healthy for what they do every day. Athletic training plays an important role in today's world. Many people are on the move, whether for sports or daily activities. Athletic trainers can help athletes of any age, industrial workers performing physical tasks, or even an average citizen participating in recreational athletics. They help prevent injuries, recognize injuries and treat them. They also help rehabilitate injuries resulting from physical activity (Athletic Training Association). They are usually the first on the scene of an injury (Campus Explorer). Athletic trainers are healthcare professionals who work alongside board-certified physicians. They also work for other health professionals, coaches or parents (Athletic Training Association). While working full-time for a sports team, they face difficult decisions that could affect the players' health or careers. They must also be able to make quick decisions under pressure. A coach working for a team can advance in their job by changing teams or even becoming a Director of Athletic Training (Campus Explorer). Athletic trainers are certified in prevention, clinical assessment and diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning, organization and administration, and professional responsibility (Athletic Training Association). They help athletes prepare for training, competitions...... middle of paper ......c training is more like a lifestyle, they have to love what they do. Many people around the world rely on a sports trainer to relieve their pain. Without such people in the world, it would be difficult for people to live long and healthy lives.
