    Imagine having to go to the bathroom and finding yourself staring at a tiny three-millimeter fetus in the palm of your hand. “I just passed a foot!” That's what a twenty-two-year-old woman said when she found herself with the upper part of the fetus in her underwear. Adalisa decided she wasn't ready to have a child yet. She was still going to school and working two jobs. Adalisa didn't have one of the best relationships with her boyfriend either. All she could think about was what her boyfriend's reaction would have been if he found out about the pregnancy. Adalisa decided to take matters into her own hands. She went to a nearby abortion clinic that charged about $700 for the procedure. Even though she didn't have enough to abort, the doctor still performed the procedure. The total duration of the procedure was only about five minutes. She was surprised that it happened so quickly. The doctor sent her out about half an hour after the procedure was completed. They even gave him permission to drive right after. About three weeks after the abortion, Adalisa had severe cramping in her pelvis. Her mother, who lived with her, advised her to go to the emergency room. She was afraid to go because she didn't want her mother to find out about the abortion. She always felt like she had to go to the bathroom. When she went to the bathroom, she pulled down her underwear and found her baby there. The fetus was only fourteen weeks old, but it was easy to distinguish it from a human being. All she could do was cry and cry. Adalisa didn't understand what was happening.
