  • Essay / Wireless Medical Technology - 1487

IntroductionTechnological innovations have exploded in the medical field. The systematic integration of these technologies has made it possible to increase the lifespan. Since time immemorial, humans' struggle to achieve immortality has motivated them to explore different options that would at least give them longevity, if not immortality. Technology has become an answer to humanity's quest and has not disappointed us in any way. Today, technology has crossed all boundaries in healthcare. Non-invasive surgeries using laser technology were still in their infancy when the prospect of complex surgeries like those of the brain and heart using nanotechnology using nanorobotics was about to arise. There is another major advancement in the form of live cell imaging, which can provide a better understanding of the exact physiological environment of human cells and tissues. Syndromic surveillance is all the rage in public health informatics. It is used in the systematic collection, analysis and interpretation of clinical syndromes. This surveillance of infectious diseases helps formulate health policy and allows timely prevention of epidemics. Many other technologies are booming and many are in incubators with the promise of changing the world of medicine for the better. Among so many promising technologies, the one that is quite fascinating with its futuristic and long-term benefits in patient care is wireless healthcare technologies. I chose this topic for my article on advanced technology because of the possibilities it offers in terms of preventing serious health complications through rapid monitoring of vital signs and effective management of chronic diseases. Thus, enabling healthcare providers to provide the necessary assistance...... middle of paper ...... improve both the quality and quantity of life.RecommendationsIn my opinion, the following are the recommendations for wider dissemination of wireless health technology: ● A high-level political and managerial decision by government and the private sector is needed to accelerate the promotion and implementation of wireless health technology in the traditional health system. ● An initiative should be taken to train doctors and their staff to use and understand this technology in medicine. ● Legal aspects, reimbursement methods, ethics and security issues must be defined and implemented.
