    IntroductionI was watching the Minnesota NBA team when it hit me. I was trying to figure out what I should do for a topic on my I-Search article. Kevin Love was shooting a triple and I knew I had found my subject; NBA history. I knew the NBA had an interesting history and was one of the most popular professional sports leagues in America. I knew there would be endless resources on the subject, so I decided to pursue the history of the National Basketball Association. I was delighted that my choice of topic came so easily and I had planned to write my article in the same way. By the end of my research, I hoped to become an NBA historian. What I Know The National Basketball Association is a basketball league with a schedule that runs from late October to mid-June. As I watched our own Minnesota Timberwolves, I couldn't help but think about all the factors that play into the NBA. I have been extremely interested in the NBA since I was a young boy. I've always known many facts about the NBA, like the names of the 30 teams and the fact that they all play an 82-game regular season, but I've always had a desire to know more. The National Basketball Association has always fascinated me and much of the population of the United States of America has. I know the NBA facts will be endless and perfect for an I-Search article. What I want to find out I've always wanted to know more about the history of the NBA. I know various facts and other figures about the NBA's past, but I would like to know the origins of the association and also who founded it.
