    The English language has changed a lot. It is a very old language. The ancient English language originated in northwest Germany. The history of the English language has been divided into three different periods. It has been divided into Old English, Middle English and Modern English. It was influenced by many other languages, and this is what caused English to change and create new words. The language continued to evolve, even after the Renaissance. English changed more before the Renaissance. There was the Great Vowel Shift which caused a change in pronunciation. Many English people left the country and moved to North America, which is today the United States and Canada. They moved and colonized Africa, India, New Zealand and Australia. The language has continued to change until today and it is still happening. The Jutes, Anglos and Saxons came from northwest Germany, invaded Britain and drove the first citizens of England to Cornwall, Wales, Scotland and somewhere in the north of France. of which they become the Bretons Celtics. As the Jutes, Anglos and Saxons mixed their ancient German language, it became Old English. It was the beginning of English history. The Anglos called their land Angle Land, which sounds a lot like England. They called their language Englisc, which almost sounds like the English language. As Roman arrived, new Latin words were added. 28.24 percent of the English language came from Latin. During the Norman Conquest in 1066, the Anglo-Saxons had to learn French terms. It was invaded by the French, the Normans and the Bretons. There have been many changes, such as invasion and war. Now that English has changed and been influenced by other different languages, it is now a complete mixture.
