    Have you noticed the size of Barry Bonds' entire body over the past couple of years? His muscles grew large and his stamina increased over time, allowing him to play baseball as long as he did. Barry Bonds was a baseball player for the Pittsburgh Pirates and San Francisco Giants for 21 years. He had to overcome huge injuries, including a massive knee problem late in his career. The only way he could lift that much weight while still recovering is a topic that has been discussed for a long time. Steroids are the only possible explanation. His playing days included players such as Sammy Sosa, who was caught using a tampered bat during a game, as well as Mark McGuwire, who admitted to using steroids and performance-enhancing drugs. Barry Bonds shares one characteristic between these actors; he cheated the game. Although he was not arrested, Barry Bonds is expected to be convicted of using human growth hormones and performance-enhancing drugs such as steroids. Barry Bonds should be convicted of steroid use because of the evidence that was uncovered. Urine samples that Major League Baseball took from Bonds showed evidence that he had used performance-enhancing drugs. “A person who reviewed the evidence said authorities detected anabolic steroids in urine samples linked to Bonds that authorities collected as part of their investigation” (Schmidt). This fact indicates that Major League Baseball knows he used steroids, but officials are too languid to force Bonds to tell the truth instead of lying as he has done in the past. Congress also took urine samples from Bonds, but listed and marked them as confidential evidence.
