  • Essay / Global warming and climate change - 776

Global warming is a great blessing for our planet and its nature. It gradually erases everything that exists on the surface of the Earth. In recent years, global warming and climate change have become one of the main concerns among citizens. Global warming is an increase in the average temperature of the Earth's surface. It has several negative impacts on the environment and its inhabitants. Many factors can cause global warming, but the most important is greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases have negative effects on the climate and cause melting of polar ice caps, acid rain and destruction of the ozone layer. The major effect of global warming is the emission of greenhouse gases, which has many negative environmental impacts. Fossil fuels are known to be a major cause of global warming. When fossil fuels such as natural gas, coal and oil are burned, they release carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide into the air. However, most of our energy sources come from fossil fuels, which are the main culprits of air pollution and global warming. For example, one of the main sources of air pollution is the emission of chemical gases from industries. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), “it has been found that 50 percent of pollution in the United States is due to industrial processes.” Due to the release of heat-trapping gases into the air, the temperature of the atmosphere increases. , this causes flash flooding and high tides. Polluted air contains high levels of carbon dioxide and other dangerous chemical gases. When these pollutants are released, they trap heat in the atmosphere, resulting in warmer temperatures. Therefore, the higher temperature causes the polar ice caps to melt, which is very damaging...... middle of paper ...... rain, which damages woods and forests. Additionally, the emission of greenhouse gases causes holes in the ozone layer, which can cause diseases, including skin problems in humans. It is our responsibility to save this planet from destruction, and we can combat global warming by planting more trees to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide existing in the air.
