    Clearly, the long list of inventions and innovations we have just seen refutes the claim that NASA and space technologies have no positive impact on the lives of Americans is completely false, but what about money? Finally, NASA should continue to receive funding (and even more) because of its undeniable positive impact on our economy. The stimulation of private industry, job creation and incredible economic impact make NASA worth every penny and more. NASA assists private businesses and encourages economic growth by performing most research and testing on behalf of private industry. NASA creates high-quality products due to the strict requirements of space, which means private companies don't have to spend as much money on research and development and can just do what they do best : produce (The American space program – Why invest in it?). NASA employed about 15 times as many workers as Connecticut's largest employer, United Technologies Corporation. Although Connecticut's 25 largest companies collectively employ about 178,152 people, NASA still employed about 412,700 people during its golden age.
