    This is where many people feel the need to respond. I can just hear a lot of you saying "But you can't just STOP being depressed! It's an illness!" Well, there's more to it than that. Our thoughts trigger feelings. Can we agree on this? When we wake up in the morning, if we start our day with happy thoughts, it usually creates a positive mood. If we start our day with dreadful thoughts about bills, traffic, marital problems, car problems, the weather, etc., it creates a negative mood. Thoughts remain dormant in our subconscious, even after being forgotten on a conscious level.
