A cyborg is both an organic and inorganic being. Cyborg embodiment can refer to anything that uses technology or biologically modifies a being. As it relates to humans, it is the use of technology for which it enhances or improves one's normal functions. This term “cyborg” was created by Manfred Clynes and it is a combination of the two words cybernetics and organism. When most people hear the term cyborg, the first thing that comes to mind is part robot, part human. This is true in a way, but there is more to it than just artificial enhancements. In society, the majority of our elders and even the youngest use what we call medicine in their daily lives. Each type of medication has different effects on the body and the user taking it. But by taking these types of body-altering substances, are we making ourselves into a cyborg? The reason why drugs or medication are not considered a means of cyborgification is that they fit our social norms. It's okay to take a pill when you feel sick, but we don't realize how much it changes our body. Being a cyborg is more than just having artificial mechanical parts; you can view medicine and the use of any other drugs as a way to become a cyborg. The use of medicine is scientifically designed, in which it treats diseases and helps in their improvement. We use technology to modify our biology, whereby we improve our mental and physical abilities. People may think that a "cyborg" is some kind of physical appearance ... middle of paper ... or a bad thing, but that makes everyone different. In the future, it may be possible to make it okay to be a cyborg and not just be a human. Since a cyborg is considered an organic and inorganic substance, once a drug has been absorbed into a body, that body is no longer organic, right? Everyone has their opinion, but the side effects of each drug change a person positively or negatively. Whether a drug is addictive or not, by changing the mindset and entering into a higher feeling, a person feels more advanced physically and mentally. One of the main definitions of being cyborg is becoming more advanced than before, which is exactly what some drugs tend to do. The embodiment of the cyborg is found in everything we do and not just in medicine. As society advances, the use of drugs and technology will grow much more than expected..
